The Vasa sank in 1628, and has been refloated and undergoing restoration since the 1950s. A big effort, but very worth it. It's an incredible sight, inside it's own custom built and atmospherically controlled museum - the most popular in Sweden. It sank on it's maiden voyage, because it was top heavy (basically).
